Lagonda Festival, United Kingdom, 2018
It will now not be long before we all meet up at this year’s Lagonda Festival here in the UK, so here is some information that we hope you will find useful.
Weather & Recommended Clothing
Well, as this is the UK, the weather here is famous for being very changeable. We are also based “Way Up North” where the temperature is generally a few degrees cooler than here in the “Exotic” south. We therefore recommend that you bring clothing that allows you to layer on/off for all possible conditions, (except maybe for snow – but then again, you never know - it’s England). It may also come as a surprise to you to learn that the UK is famous for being “a little rainy” at times. Therefore, a light weather proof mac may well prove to be very handy.
For our 2 events on the Saturday, the Tees Bridge and HMS Trincomalee, we strongly advise that ladies should wear flat shoes. Any kind of a heel could very easily end the trip with a visit to the local casualty department, and this would most certainly then hinder your move’s & grooves on the dance floor later that night.
There is no formal dress code for any part of our festival. Please wear whatever you are most comfortable with. I am sure that everyone will, as usual, look good for the Gala dinner on the Saturday evening, be it smart casual or black tie.
I have no doubt that all the Lagonda Angels will be as gorgeous as ever.

Information For Drivers
UK Road Speed Limits
*In the absence of any speed limit signs, if there are street lights then this generally dictates that the speed limit is 30mph (48km/h).
Please make sure you fill up with a full tank petrol and check all your engine fluids before arriving at the castle on Thursday.
There is a BP petrol station just 5 minutes’ drive from the castle. This, I’m sure, will then be plenty to last for the whole duration of festival and will ensure we do not have to make an on mass unscheduled stop on route to an event. Thank you.
We would also like to request that all hire car drivers remain behind the Lagonda squadron and avoid as much as possible breaking the homogeneity, (Great word, Dimitri), of the angular lines of the convoy. Thank you very much.
We will, of course, be giving everyone a detailed road map book for the festival and this will also have details regarding contact numbers for any unfortunate mishap, be it mechanical or medical.
Please add my personal mobile number into your phone and do not hesitate to call me should you experience any problems once you are in the UK.
